Advanced Placement Credits Entering students may be granted credits and/or advanced course placement for the successful completion of Advanced Placement Exams. Credit and/or advanced placement is awarded for AP Exam scores in the ranges listed below. Students who take an AP exam should designate Saint Francis University to receive their scores. If you've already taken the exam, and did not note that the score should be sent to Saint Francis, then please call the College Board (toll free) at 888-225-5427 and ask that the score be sent to us. The student can make this request at any time, even after he or she is attending the university. The annual reporting of scores takes place around July 1. Our goal is to alert the student and the advisor regarding scores and the course equivalencies associated with them within two weeks. Art History
Score of "3" receives a waiver from Art 116 and an art elective. Score of "4" or "5" receives credit for both Art 116 and an Art elective. Biology
Non‑science majors receiving a grade of "3" on the Advanced Placement Biology test will be waived from taking Biology 101 (General Biology) and Biology 103 (Environmental Studies). Non‑science majors receiving a grade of "4" or "5" on the Advanced Placement Biology test will receive credit for taking Biology 101 and Biology 103. Science majors who receive a grade of "3" on the Advanced Placement Biology test will have the choice of waiving either Biology 111 (General Zoology) or Biology 112 (General Botany). Science majors who receive a grade of "4" or "5" on the Advanced Placement Biology test will have the choice of receiving credit for either Biology 111 or Biology 112. Chemistry
