Swimming Earns CSCAA Academic All-American Team Honors

LORETTO, Pa. (August 31, 2007) – The Saint Francis University women’s swim team has been cited as an Academic All-American team by the College Swim Coaches’ Association of America for their performance in the classroom during the spring 2007 semester.  Patrick Gallagher’s squad posted a collective 3.28 GPA to earn the honor.

The Red Flash are one of only 111 NCAA Division I women’s swim teams to earn the distinction.

The 2006-07 team was able to produce at a typically-high level in the classroom while swimming to a 9-2 record and a fifth-place finish at the Northeast Conference championships, the program’s highest finish since 2002.

The CSCAA publishes the Academic All-American list twice each year.  The next list will be released after the completion of the fall semester.
