Red Flash Men’s Soccer Team Gets First Win of Season at Denver
DENVER, Colo. (Sept. 7, 2007) – Saint Francis freshman Patrick Fleming (Dunedin, New Zealand / Bayfield) scored his first career goal in the 75th minute to help lead the Red Flash to their first win of the season Friday night at the University of Denver.
Fleming put home a pass from three-time all-Northeast Conference defender Jarron Brooks (Mitchellville, Md. / Archbishop Carroll) at 75 minutes, 38 seconds to give Saint Francis the only goal it would need.
Junior goalkeeper Brad Williams (San Lorenzo, Calif. / Arroyo) stopped five shots to record his first shutout of the season.
The Red Flash will be back in action at 3 p.m. Sunday when they travel to the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo.
