Robinson Fruchtl announces resignation of assistant coach
LORETTO, Pa. (April 16, 2008) – Saint Francis University head women’s basketball coach Susan Robinson Fruchtl announced the resignation of assistant coach Jen Gwin on Wednesday. Gwin is leaving her post at Saint Francis after one season to assume the same position at another NCAA Division I institution.
"We really appreciate Jen's efforts as an assistant coach with our program,” said Robinson Fruchtl. “Even though Jen only spent one season with the program, she contributed greatly and we are sorry to see her move on. We wish her all the best in her coaching career. I am confident she will do awesome things in her new position.”
In her only season with the Flash, Gwin served as the program’s strength and conditioning coordinator in addition to playing a vital role in guard development, recruiting, and other administrative duties.
“I have greatly enjoyed my time here at Saint Francis,” said Gwin. “I will always be grateful to Susan for giving me this opportunity and I wish her and the team nothing but the best going forward.”
A nation-wide search is currently underway to find Gwin’s replacement.
