Chris Villarrial joined the Red Flash in January of 2009 as the offensive coordinator.
A native of Hummelstown,
Pa., Villarrial played collegiate football for Division II Indiana
University of Pennsylvania and was a three-time All-American. Named a
team captain and MVP, he won the Jim Langer Award for Best Offensive
Lineman in Division II in 1995. After graduating from IUP with a
degree in special education and a minor in rehabilitation, Villarrial
was selected by the Chicago Bears in the fifth round of the 1996 NFL
draft.
Villarrial spent 11 seasons in the NFL with the Bears
and the Buffalo Bills and was an integral part of the offensive line
for both teams. During his tenure with the Bears from 1995-2004, he
was twice chosen as an all-pro while playing right guard and center.
Villarrial played in 155 games and made 148 starts during his career.
Upon
leaving the NFL in 2007, Villarrial took the position of assistant
coach for the Central Cambria High School football team. While with
the Red Devils, he was the offensive coordinator and offensive line
coach and also ran the team’s strength and conditioning program.
