Assistant Professor - Early American History

Saint Francis University’s Department of History and Political Science invites applications for a full time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of History to teach both American history surveys (US to 1877 and US from 1877) and advanced level courses in early American history. Appointment begins in autumn 2010. Ph.D. and teaching experience are required by time of appointment. Preferred fields are Early National, borderlands, African-American, and/or immigration history. Ability to teach Latin American or Native American or public history is very desirable. Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching, student advising and university service, including participation in the General Education program.

Saint Francis University’s Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice seeks a tenure-track full time assistant professor to begin teaching Sociology and Criminal Justice courses in fall 2010. The position requires Ph.D. (Sociology or Criminal Justice) completion by time of appointment. Our program has been established for over 10 years but is currently growing and we welcome the energy and input of a candidate ready to take a role in that process. The successful candidate will have a teaching load of 4-4 (3 preps), including Administration of Justice, Social Problems, Introduction to Sociology, and Cultural Diversity, as well as courses in the candidate’s area of specialization. The successful candidate will be willing to engage in service to the Saint Francis community, department, and university. The deadline for application is December 31, 2009. Admissions Representative

Saint Francis University seeks candidates for the position of Admissions Representative reporting to the Associate Dean for Enrollment Management. Ideal candidates are motivated, energetic and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills. The position of Admissions Representative requires managing a geographic recruitment territory designated by the Associate Dean in order to meet the undergraduate enrollment goals of the University.
Management of a recruitment territory includes but is not limited to:
- On and off-campus interviews with prospective students and families
- Scheduling and visitation of high schools within the travel territory
- Representing the University at local and regional college fairs
- Communication with qualified prospective students concerning the enrollment process
- Oversight of assigned ancillary duties related to the enrollment function
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Experience in admissions or enrollment management preferred.
- Ability to work weekends and evenings as requested or required.
- Excellent verbal and written interpersonal communications.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a highly integrated enrollment team
- Highly motivated; possess a positive attitude.
- Willingness and ability to travel as significant day and overnight travel is required of this position.
This position reports to the Associate Dean of Enrollment Management.

The University has initiated a nationwide search for a founding Dean of the School of Health Sciences, a position recently created as a result of restructuring at the University.
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary academic leader with proven administrative skills who is interested in advancing the School of Health Sciences. The Dean will have an exceptional opportunity to influence the future of health sciences and health and wellness initiatives on campus and in the surrounding communities.
The School of Health Sciences is comprised of four academic departments which include undergraduate programs in Nursing and Exercise Physiology, and graduate programs in Occupational Therapy, Physician Assistant Sciences, and Physical Therapy. Residing within the School of Health Sciences is the DiSepio Institute for Rural Health and Wellness which has as its mission the advancement of the goals of the University which include a mind for excellence, a spirit for peace and justice and a heart for service. · Research/scholarship accomplishments including a record of peer-reviewed publications, familiarity with the concept of translational research and an interest in developing this line of research
· Experience in administration of successful community outreach programs and health and wellness initiatives
· Evidence of success in obtaining extramural funding
· Demonstrated ability with budget management

The University has recently undergone a reorganization to a school system. The CGC works with businesses to expand market opportunities internationally as well as domestically. Graduate Assistant - Marketing
