There will be a free public information session on kidney disease Wednesday, January 25 at 5:30 p.m. at the DiSepio Institute for Rural Health and Wellness at Saint Francis University in Loretto, PA.
The session to raise awareness about kidney disease and to promote kidney health will be offered in partnership with The Kidney Center which has several clinics in the area including Johnstown and Ebensburg, as well as at its newest location in Carrolltown.
Presenters include Dr. Samer S. Nasser, Lisa Williams, PA-C, and Nicole Gumpf, nutritionist, all from The Kidney Center. Topics include, but are not limited to, risk factors for kidney disease; who should be screened; why you may need dialysis; nutritional information; and services available at The Kidney Center. Free screens will be available.
