Students in need of services are encouraged to come to the Student Health Service during regular office hours. The Student Health Service is staffed one evening per week, and for weekend health emergencies, the students can contact University Police for assistance.

The Medical Director is available 4 hours per week for consultation and treatment. The Physician Assistant is available full time for any medical needs that may arise. Services offered at the Student Health Service include minor medical procedures, limited laboratory procedures and diagnostic services. Programming on relevant medical and wellness issues is provided and sponsored by the DiSepio Institute for Rural Health and Wellness throughout the year. Topics include, nutrition, stress management and relaxation techniques, sexually transmitted diseases, eating disorders, and other wellness issues. The staff can also assist students with information about local community resources and referral to local medical providers for treatment if required.
