The Red Flash cheerleaders attend all home football, men’s basketball and women’s basketball games. Also, they participate in other athletic events, fundraisers, and charity events throughout the year. The squad attends summer cheer camp, practices 2-3 times per week, and conditions 2 times per week. Each member receives a scholarship of $500 per semester.
In addition, Saint Francis Cheer is also the home of Saint Francis mascot Frankie the Friar! Frankie can be seen at home athletic events and appears through the community as well; be it assisting in a campus blood drive or throwing out the first pitch at Altoona Curve games, Frankie is always there to cheer and entertain!
