Mr. Collier Devlin - Class of 2014

    Major: Computer Science

Collier Devlin, a senior Computer Science major, was awarded a cash prize for second place in the C-CUE 2013 Student Video Contest. C-CUE is the Consortium for Computing in Undergraduate Education, a regionally based cluster of colleges and universities. The contest enabled students to submit an entry that expresses a creative, technological-based solution to a real world problem. Collier's project was to design a website for the SFU ice hockey team and he made a 3 minute video about how it functions and submitted it.

The first place winner was a student from IUP, and third place was to a student from Waynesburg.

    Faith Finder App

Computer Science students Aaron Vizzini of Ebensburg and Matthew Warfel of Clymer recently developed a Faith Finder App to look up Mass Times in the Altoona-Johnstown Diocese

    DiSepio Information Assurance Reseach Projects

The DiSepio Chair Endowment in Computer Science was given to Saint Francis University by Marguerite (Scharpf) DiSepio and her husband, Joseph DiSepio, Saint Francis alumni (1960 and 1958) for the study and advancment of computer information security. This $1.5 million endowment is focused on Information Assurance. Along with the research, the endowment has created the DiSepio Information Assurance Laboratory and also funds an annual speaker series, the DiSepio Information Assurance and Computer Science Holdings in the Pasquerilla Library, the annual DiSepio Technology Day which includes a programming contest and presentations related to computer science, and two four-year scholarships awarded to eligible computer science freshmen.
