Saint Francis University’s DiSepio Institute for Rural Health and Wellness and the Center of Excellence for Remote and Medically Under-Served Areas (CERMUSA) are hosting a Diabetes Education Program. It is a free four-week program that will be held Monday evenings, June 25 to July 16, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the DiSepio Institute on the Loretto campus.
The program will explain how to manage diabetes more effectively by learning how food, insulin, and exercise affect blood glucose levels. Educational topics will include: What is Diabetes, Managing Your Blood Glucose, Importance of Foot Care, and Diabetes and Exercise.
Participants in the program will have the chance to win giveaways including glucometers, resistance training bands, and exercise videos. To register, call 814-472-2783. The registration deadline is June 21.
