Come relax with your friends or have a quick bite on-the-go in one of our campus dining areas. At Saint Francis University you will find food alive with flavor and nutrition, prepared from scratch, using only the freshest and highest-quality ingredients! Our Dining Services staff pride themselves on Food Gold Standards which ensures the campus community always has the freshest and most nutritious meals. We focus on the nutritional side of campus life!

At Torvian Dining Hall, an all-you-care-to-eat food court style setting, you’ll be able to enjoy creations from all over the world with our HemisFlavors® menu options, or have fresh-dough pizzas from our wood-burning brick oven at Pepperazzi®. You will also enjoy exhibition style cooking at Bravisimo!®, delicious fresh salads, mouth watering deli sandwiches, fresh stock soups and your favorite home style-cooked foods from local growers with our FarmSource Program.

Frankie's Cafe(located in the lower level of the JFK Student Center)features freshly-made “On-the-Go” sandwiches or salads, hot subs, burgers, or pizza. Try a made-to-order East Street Deli™ sandwich or one of our fresh stock soup offerings. Check out a variety of products in our convenience store from health and beauty aids, snacks and ice cream novelties to boxed cereals and laundry detergents. Be sure to check out the enormous selection of vitamin waters, energy drinks, soft drinks and brewed teas. Frankie’s also features fresh Barista coffees daily!

Padua Express (located in the lower level of Padua) is a great stop for a quick snack or meal. Features include Barista coffees, “On-the-Go” sandwiches and salads, fresh baked pastries and pizza. Be sure to check out our daily fresh stock soup offerings and featured sandwiches.

Café Gubbio is a true campus coffee house with a relaxing atmosphere located in the lower level of the Saint Francis Hall. We Proudly Brew Starbucks coffee and other gourmet specialty beverages from a Carmel Macchiato, cappuccino or espresso to iced coffees and fruit smoothies. Try one of the varieties of “On-the-Go” sandwiches or salads, desserts, pastries or Ghirardelli chocolates.

Our exclusive Pepperazzi® concept is the ultimate in fresh-dough pizza and pasta, prepared each day with the finest ingredients. We create pizzas, calzones, strombolis, and pasta dishes using classic Italian recipes. Don't forget to sample our hot-roasted, farm-sourced vegetables. All of these items are made fresh every day for our guests.
Our chefs at Sequoia Grill® will prepare high-quality foods-to-order hot off the grill and just the way you like. Our burgers are never frozen! We pride ourselves in using only the freshest quality meats and poultry. We use our restaurant experience at the grill to create unique menu items that are sure to please everyone's tastes.
The Barista Café is the perfect place to get great coffee, espresso, cappuccinos, lattes, and iced coffees all made from freshly ground coffee beans - brewed to our perfection! The aroma of fresh-brewed coffee and assorted bakery items like muffins, doughnuts, and desserts made fresh daily on site, will make it difficult to pass by.
Farm Source is our Farm-to-Fork practice. Our Farm Source program is an initiative to find and partner with some of the finest local growers and producers. With assistance from organizations like Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture (PASA) we are able to enhance the freshness and quality of our product offerings without compromising our commitment to food safety ...while supporting and strengthening the local agricultural community. We utilize only suppliers and growers who follow the high standards set forth by regulatory agencies like the FDA, the State Department of Agriculture, and local health departments.
We care about each other and our world. The footprint we leave for today will change how we live tomorrow. Our EcoSteps is designed to reduce and reuse that footprint. Our EcoSteps are “Our Steps to Sustainability”. To continually expand our role as a socially responsible university while providing exceptional hospitality to all of our guests. Our focus on sustainability EcoSteps have been developed in order to establish local responsibility standards, including a continual focus on environmental issues. The EcoStep’s logo highlights items that are part of our sustainability program (recycled paper, rBGH-free milk, Sustainable Seafood, etc.). The mission of EcoSteps is to continually expand our role to-be-as socially responsible as possible while providing exceptional hospitality experiences to all of our guests.
Increasingly our guests are looking for meals that are ready-to-eat or pre-cooked and just need to be reheated. They are also interested in options that promote wellness and good health. Our “on the go!” program addresses guests’ needs by providing a large variety of items from which to choose. “On the go!” allows guests the kind of flexibility and convenience they have not seen before, while at the same time maintaining the kind of quality our guests would expect to receive when dining in. The pressures of today’s busy University students won’t go unnoticed here. Our items include pre-packaged salads; Panini’s, wraps, soups and sushi. In addition, we will have fresh fruits and vegetables pre-packaged and ready to go. Many of our items are purchased locally with brands that our guests know and love.
Whole Body Cuisine is a lifestyle-oriented program designed to keep your taste buds excited, while providing a wide variety of nutritionally balanced meals. Whole Body dishes balance fat, calories, cholesterol, and sodium, creating naturally nourishing and fabulous tasting dishes. Whole Body items on menus will be signified by use of the “artichoke” symbol.

Resident Dining
Saint Francis University Dining Services offers a variety of dining plans for resident students. All resident students are required to have a dining plan. Each plan is created to provide flexibility across all dining venues. While each plan varies, all bonus dollars expire at the end of each semester.
All purchases must be made through the Office of Residence Life located in Padua 227, phone 814-472-3029.
Commuter Dining
The Commuter Dining plans offer the Saint Francis commuter student a variety of choices that accommodates their needs.This plan is just what a busy person needs to fit their schedule.The Commuter Dining Plans carry a bonus with each purchase.The purchases are converted to dining dollars and deposited on the students ID card, which works similar to a debit card. No need to carry cash or find an ATM. The Dining Dollars are non-refundable and expire at the end of each semester. The Dining Dollars can be used at Torvian Dining Hall or any of our retail facilities including Frankie's, Padua Express or Cafe Gubbio.
Declining Balance Dollars
Declining Balance Dollars provide the ultimate flexibility. Declining Balance Dollars are held in an account that acts like a debit card. This is convenient for purchasing meals and snacks without the hassle and worry of carrying cash.The balance will appear each time a purchase is made. Declining Balance Dollars may be purchased in any increments you desire.
All purchases must be made in the Business Office located in Scotus Hall.
Our strong catering reputation has been achieved through uncompromised quality, dependable service, use of the finest foods and experience at all catering levels. Our innovative, high-quality catering is customized to the unique needs of our guests. Our friendly staff and experienced culinary team pride themselves in building personal relationships and providing exceptional culinary experiences. Our JFK Conference Center offers a wonderful venue for professional conferences, group retreats, luncheons, job fairs, rehearsal dinners, wedding receptions and more! The No-Frills Catering allows our guests, both on-campus and off-campus to put together an event on a budget. All of the menu items are for “pick-up-only” at Torvian Dining Hall and include the appropriate accompaniment and disposable-ware.
