Saint Francis University’s Tau Kappa Epsilon (TKE) fraternity participated in their sixth annual Polar Bear Swim on February 17, to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Twenty of the fraternity’s members braved the cold and jumped into Lake Saint Francis. The swim raised a total of $800 to donate to the research hospital.
St. Jude was founded by Danny Thomas, a TKE alumnus. All TKE chapters have pledged to raise at least 1 million dollars together in the next five years for St. Jude's. The proceeds will aid in the addition of a wing to the hospital.
