Dr. Grosik joins the faculty ranks at Saint Francis University as an assistant professor of MHS, moving from her previous roles as Instructional Technologist and Instructional Designer at the University. A former Assistant Vice President and Manager of Loan Administration at Ameriserv Financial Bank, her passion for higher education lead her to academia. She began teaching workforce development courses in the evenings for Pennsylvania Highlands Community College and Cambria Rowe Business College and returned as a student to earn a Master’s degree in Adult Education and Communication Technology. This accomplishment initiated a career change and Dr. Grosik accepted the role of Instructional Technologist at Pennsylvania Highlands Community College where she worked with faculty to incorporate educational technologies into the classroom and was also responsible for all distance education endeavors. She continued her own educational journey in the Communications Media and Instructional Technology Ph.D. program at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania where she also taught undergraduate educational technology courses. Dr. Grosik defended her dissertation titled, “The Diffusion of Facebook in Rural, Southwestern Pennsylvania Adults” in 2012
In her free time, Dr. Grosik enjoys spending time with her husband Tom, and children, Ryan, Jacob, Nicholas, and Olivia.
