After graduating from Penn State in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology, I decided to get a teaching certification from Saint Francis University. My passion was in education, so I decided to follow this. I really liked the small class sizes and the individualized attention I received at SFU. I cannot speak highly enough about the faculty that went out of their way to help me, who always had an open door policy. They were easily approachable and related things to real-life, which I really liked. I completed my teaching certification in 2006. I like the Education Department at Saint Francis University so much, I decided to get my Masters in Educational Leadership from here as well, which I completed in a year-and-a-half. (Jan 2008-Dec. 2009). I loved everything I learned in my masters classes, and decided to pursue a Principal Certification as well. I started this program right away and completed it in December of 2010. Everyone in the SFU Education Department went out of their way on a daily basis to help their students out and always get them answers to their questions. Currently, I reside in State College, Pennsylvania and teach at the new high school here. Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy is located in Boalsburg, Pennsylvania. I teach high school students all day in Honors Biology, College Prep Biology, and Health here and love every minute of it! I also just received my Level II teaching certification as well. Thank you so much to Saint Francis University for making my experience one that I will never forget. I have recommended several teacher friends to SFU's Graduate Education program as well. Those that are enrolled love it as well.
