Math Problem Solving Contest

The Math Problem Solving Contest provides high school students with the opportunity to utilize their skills in mathematics for an opportunity to be recognized for correct submissions and be entered into the drawing for a cash award.

Math Problem Solving Contest Rules

• Solve the monthly problem. Problems are available the first week of each month. Like us on Facebook to be first to know when a new problem is posted.
• Print the Answer Submission Form. Complete this form in its entirety with your name, home address (winners cannot receive a cash award without a home address), phone number, e-mail, school information, and signature. Incomplete forms will not be accepted.
• Show your work!!! Correct answers submitted without supporting work or illegible printing will not be eligible.
• Return the Answer Submission Form to the Science Outreach Center by mail, e-mail or fax by 12:00 noon on the last Friday of the month.
• Students can submit their own Answer Submission Form or if the contest is part of a class project the teacher can submit the forms on their behalf.
• Groups are limited to 4 students. Please provide contact information for each member of the group. If the group wins the correct answer drawing, the cash prize it will be divided with each person receiving their portion of the cash award.
