The Saint Francis University Small Business Development Center (SBDC) received the “Happy Client” award from the Pennsylvania Small Business Development Center network (PASBDC) at its recent annual conference in Williamsport PA. The award was presented to the Center during a ceremony held November 7, 2013. The Saint Francis SBDC was honored by having the highest client satisfaction ratings among the eighteen SBDCs in Pennsylvania and was based on the most recent client satisfaction survey conducted by the PASBDC. It was stated by Christian Conroy, state SBDC director, that virtually 100% of the clients who responded to the survey were satisfied with the service and assistance received by the Saint Francis SBDC consultants.
Ed Huttenhower, director of the Saint Francis SBDC, stated “All of us at the SBDC are thrilled to receive this award. Our consultants work hard with every client to provide the best possible service and to provide them with meaningful and honest advice. Because of this, our successful clients are making a meaningful impact on the region’s economy.”
The Saint Francis University SBDC serves both existing and prospective entrepreneurs in Bedford, Blair, Cambria, Fulton, Huntingdon and Somerset Counties. In providing this assistance, it works closely with banks, Chambers and economic development organizations throughout the six counties. The Pennsylvania Small Business Development Centers are funded by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the U.S. Small Business Administration, the private sector and the host colleges and universities. This support enables consulting services to be provided without charge.
