Discover easy ways to plan a better meal at the DiSepio Institute for Rural Health and Wellness' presentation of Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield’s “What’s on Your Plate” lunch and learn session on Thursday, February 14.
Learn how to understand the importance of reading nutritional facts labels, eating the proper portion sizes, and realizing the factors that influence what we eat. Diet is related to every chronic disease, so understanding the type and amount of food on your plate will help to improve your lifestyle.
The presentation will take place from 12:00-12:30 p.m. and will be presented by Tessa Filiano, a senior in the exercise physiology program. The session is free and open to the public. You are welcome to bring your lunch to eat at this informational session.
