(June 16, 2013) – College Football Performance Awards, the largest awards organization in D-I college football, recently announced its watch list for the 2013 CFPA Defensive Back Award, and Jakob DeMedal (New Wilmington, Pa./Wilmington) earned a spot on the list. The preliminary watch list highlights 36 returning performers, vying for the top individual defensive back award in the Football Championship Subdivision.

SFU football coaches volunteer to help raise funds for pediatric brain tumor research ◄

EASTON, Pa. (June 7, 2013) – Two Saint Francis University football coaches, along with 316 of their peers, donated their time on June 2 for the 10th annual Lauren's First and Goal – an event that raises funds for pediatric brain tumor research. The one-day clinic, which drew nearly 2,100 high school students to Lafayette College's Metzgar Fields Athletic Complex, generated $104,000 for the worthy cause.

Löfgren becomes SFU's 38th Academic All-America selection ◄

LORETTO, Pa. (June 6, 2013) – Saint Francis University swimmer Elise Löfgren (Molnlycke, Sweden/Hulebacks) has been named to the Capital One Academic All-America® Second Team. The junior becomes the 38th Red Flash, and the first SFU swimmer, to earn the distinction.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (June 6, 2013) – The NCAA has honored two Saint Francis University teams – field hockey and women's volleyball – from the 976 across the nation with public recognition awards for exceptional academic performance. These awards are presented each year to teams scoring in the top 10 percent in each sport with respect to their Academic Progress Rates (APRs).
