Fine Arts Camps

Summer camps, offered through Saint Francis University's Center for Fine Arts, allow you to explore your talents and discover new ones.

  • 2021 Pottery Camps

    10-day Pottery Camp
    (July 12-16 and 19-23)

    morning sessions for teens and afternoon sessions for adults

    Spend two weeks with artist Bob Zabrosky who will guide you through the basics of using a slab roller, hand-building methods, and how to use a pottery wheel.  Sponsored by the  SFU Center for Fine Arts and Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art in partnership with the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts

    Where: The Arts Garage on the Saint Francis University campus in Loretto, Pa.
    Cost: $175 for the 10-day camp (includes all materials and instruction)  Register below by July 9 (limited to 20 participants per session).

  • Registration for those currently in grades 7-12)

    Who: For students currently in grades 7-12

    When: 9 a.m. to noon  July 12-16,  and July 19-23 (2 weeks - weekdays only)

    What: Spend two weeks with artist Bob Zabrosky who will guide you through the basics of using a slab roller, hand-building methods, and how to use a pottery wheel.  

    Where: The Arts Garage on the Saint Francis University campus in Loretto, Pa.

    Cost: $175 for the 10-day camp (includes all materials and instruction)

    When you register yourself or a minor for this program you agree to the following program expectations/releases:

    • Medical Treatment Authorization:  I/we authorize the staff of the hospital my child may be taken to provide care that includes routine diagnostic procedures (i.e., x-rays, blood, and urine tests) and medical treatment necessary to my minor child. I understand that the consent and authorization herein granted does not include major surgical procedures and is valid only during the Fine Arts Camp. Saint Francis University will not dispense over-the-counter (OTC) or prescription medication to participants. In the event that an illness or injury would require more extensive evaluation, I understand that every reasonable attempt will be made to contact me. However, in the event of an emergency, the hospital my child is taken to is to perform any necessary emergency treatment.
    • I/we do hereby agree to release, discharge, and hold harmless Saint Francis University, its officers, agents, and employees of and from all causes, liabilities, damages, claims, or demands whatsoever on account of any injury or accident involving the said minor arising out of the minor's attendance in the course of activities held in connection with a program offered by Saint Francis University.
    • I/we authorize Saint Francis University personnel to photograph, videotape, and/or audiotape participants for promotion of Saint Francis University programs.
    Registration for adult participants

    Who: For adult community members

    When: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., July 12-16,  and July 19-23 (2 weeks - weekdays only)

    What: Spend two weeks with artist Bob Zabrosky who will guide you through the basics of using a slab roller, hand-building methods, and how to use a pottery wheel.  

    Where: The Arts Garage on the Saint Francis University campus in Loretto, Pa.

    Cost: $175 for the 10-day camp (includes all materials and instruction)
