About Dr. Irene Wolf

Education

Biography 

Dr. Wolf primarily teaches undergraduate physiology and molecular biology courses for the biology department.  She also is an instructor for the Master of Science Cancer Care program.  Additionally, as director of the honors program, she guides students through thesis preparation.

  

Her research interests are student driven projects in endocrinology, stress, and cancer biology. Currently, she conducts studies on cellular death of HeLa and Siha cancer cell lines when treated with dexamethasone and metformin.  Past studies delved into understanding plant stress from acid mine drainage exposure, zebrafish fin regeneration when exposed to estradiol, and enhanced cell growth with dear velvet antler.
