Biography
Dr. Brennan Thomas teaches courses in first-year writing and writing pedagogy as well as a first-year seminar on the animated films of Disney and Pixar Studios. She directs the university’s writing center, for which she trains and supervises all writing tutors. Dr. Thomas also tutors in the center several hours each week during the spring and fall semesters and edits the center’s website content and quarterly newsletter, The Write Times.
Her research interests include writing center administration and popular media studies. She has published scholarly articles on the social, political and consumerist elements of the films A Christmas Story, Bambi, and Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan as well as the television series South Park.
