ASL will host the third annual Sign Day on April 6th, 2014. Sign Day is a fun introduction to ASL (American Sign Language) for students in grades 1-12. The event will be held from 10 am - 2pm in the JFK Student Center at Saint Francis University. Check-in begins at 9:15 am.

COST: $10 per participant – Registration deadline March 07, 2014 (Registration fee is non-refundable). Registration includes lots of fun and a T-shirt. Registrations after 3/7/2014 will not receive T-shirts.
BRING: A brown bag lunch labeled with participant’s name.
Participants will be separated into age groups. Take a look at some of the things we will do that day:
- Learn the American Manual Alphabet
- Learn to count with ASL (American Sign Language)
- Learn about the origin/ history of the American Manual Alphabet and American Sign Language
- Learn the Pledge of Allegiance
- SIGN JAM! – Jam in ASL to “Dynamite” by Taio Cruz
For Scout Troops: In addition to the above activities, you’ll learn the Scout Promise/Scout Law in sign language and be will on the way to earning a badge!
