Dr. Kagarise is an associate professor at Saint Francis University in the online Master of Medical and Master of Health Science programs within the Department of Physician Assistant Sciences.
She is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is a Diplomate of the Accreditation Council for Clinical Lipidology as a Clinical Lipid Specialist. Dr. Kagarise received her Doctor of Health Science from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, her Master of Medical Science from Saint Francis College in Loretto, Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Science (Physician Assistant) from Saint Francis College in Loretto.
With over 15 years in academia, Dr. Kagarise has assumed both teaching and leadership roles within the University. She has developed and taught courses covering research and evidence based medicine, health promotion and current clinical practice issues, healthcare systems management, health communication, and health disparities in underserved populations. She is founder of the SFU online Master of Health Science program and was faculty coordinator and Program Director for the development of online educational programs for Navy Independent Duty Corpsmen through the University’s Center of Excellence for Remote and Medically Under-Served Areas.
Dr. Kagarise has been an invited presenter for continuing medical education and corporate wellness programs. In addition, she has served as a moderator for pharmaceutical hyperlipidemia roundtables. With over 10 years of experience in distance education, she has presented at national teaching and distance based conferences including The Teaching Professor Conference and the Instructional Technology Council eLearning Conference.
