    Military Affairs at SFU

More than 50 current military service members and veterans take Saint Francis University classes, making them a vibrant part of our student body. The Military Affairs Department is here to help you:

    • learn about Federal and State programs that provide military financial aid benefits.
    • with the application, financial aid, and scheduling processes at Saint Francis.
    • access information about physical and mental health services that are provided on campus and through the surrounding communities.
    • navigate the Army ROTC curriculum as Acting Liaison for the program on campus.
    • certify veteran enrollment to the University.
    • connect and discuss issues through the Veterans Roundtable. All veterans/current military students are encouraged to participate. Please contact the Office of Military Affairs for more information.

  • Army Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC)

Saint Francis has participated in an Army ROTC program for many years in partnership with the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Beginning in 2009, Saint Francis students could fully participate at SFU without having to travel to IUP to participate in all ROTC activities. Participating students may be eligible to receive full tuition scholarships. Unlike many other institutions, Saint Francis will award ALL students that successfully complete the ROTC curriculum with a Minor in Military Science to accompany your Major concentration in any curriculum.

  • Top Military Friendly School

Did you know that Saint Francis University has been named a 2015 Military Friendly School?

SFU ranks in the top 15% of all colleges, universities & trade schools nationwide for the certifications, programs, policies and financial efforts it uses to recruit and retain military students.
