OVERVIEW

Individualized Treatments and Specialized Services

The UPMC Rehabilitation Institute is committed to providing individualized and effective care for our patients. We offer a variety of services for children from birth to 21 years of age.  Individualized treatment plans are designed based on a child’s specific needs and goals.

Throughout the therapy process, our staff will work with parents/caregivers to educate them on ways to play with their child and promote healthy parent/caregiver-child relationships.  The center offers specialized pediatric services including: serial casting, concussion management, and feeding programs.

It Takes a Team

We will keep your doctor informed with updates on your child's progress.  We are committed to working with you and your physician to ensure that your child receives the best care possible.

PRE-CERTIFICATION

Making the Process Smoother for You

A physician referral is most often required before any services can be provided.  A physician must specify the patient's diagnosis and type of services being requested.  Our staff will assist you in the pre-certification process for the delivery of services, but we cannot guarantee insurance approval.  We do participate with most private insurances.
