Saint Francis University Chemistry Honor Society Helps Bring Science to Kids

The Saint Francis University Chemistry Honor Society teamed up with The Quaint Corner Children's Museum to bring chemistry kits to kids. A $500 grant from the Chemistry Honor Society Gamma Sigma Epsilon National office allowed Saint Francis to donate chemistry supplies for ten chemistry kits distributed to local libraries and institutions in Blair County. These kits allow staff to conduct science experiments for children and showcase basic chemistry lessons during organized activities. Students Focus on “Flourishing Moments” in Reflections on Pandemic Experience Students in the Communications Program’s capstone course, Multiplatform Storytelling, completed a three-part oral history project titled “Documenting the Pandemic” during the spring 2021 semester. In Part 1 of the assignment, the 20 students shared their pandemic experiences, using the camera as their primary story-telling tool. 2021 Pennsylvania Statistical Poster Competition Winners

The Science Outreach Center and Mathematics Department at Saint Francis University is pleased to announce the winners of the 2021 Pennsylvania Statistics Poster Competition. The annual state competition is in its twenty-fifth year overall, and is coordinated for the thirteenth year by Saint Francis University. Cash awards of $96 for first place, $72 for second place, $48 for third place, and $24 for fourth place in each of four grade levels are awarded to the students who submitted winning posters. Saint Francis Wins Fourth-Consecutive NEC Tournament Championship

The Saint Francis softball team won its fourth-consecutive NEC Tournament Championship with a 12-4 win in five innings against LIU (27-8, 25-7 NEC) on Saturday. The win earned the Red Flash earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament Regional. The team (40-8, 22-2 NEC) was selected to travel to No. 12 Texas (39-11, 12-6 Big 12) This will be Saint Francis' fourth appearance in the NCAA Tournament, previously traveling to Arizona in 2017 and 2018 and Michigan in 2019.
