Biography
Dr. Erin Long is the Academic Fieldwork Coordinator (AFWC) and a clinical assistant professor of occupational therapy. With over 23 years of pediatric occupational therapy experience, she specializes in school-based, early intervention, pediatric outpatient, and telehealth practice. Dr. Long has served as a fieldwork educator and adjunct faculty member, presenting at state and national conferences and school districts. She remains clinically active as an independent school-based OT evaluator and maintains a caseload in school-based telehealth. As the AFWC, she is responsible for and oversees the fieldwork education program’s compliance with all standards and requirements. She serves on various university committees and as the Cheer Team Faculty Athletic Mentor. Recent research includes best practices in fieldwork education, telehealth within occupational therapy practice, and university sensory awareness and education. Dr. Long is a member of the Pennsylvania Occupational Therapy Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association.
