About Ms. Jane Gleason

Biography
Mrs. Jane Gleason earned her bachelor’s degree in Chemistry in 1988 and began work in industry in Long Island, NY. She was a research chemist at United-Guardian, Inc. for five years, specializing in product research and preparation, and cosmetic formulations. She also launched the QC microbiology lab.
She then took a position with Estee Lauder as a research microbiologist in their Research Park facility. For seven years she helped manage the R&D microbiology lab, which involved USP testing of trial and current products as well as researching potential new preservative systems. She worked with BioMerieux and other robotics companies to automate some of the daily work. She maintained the microorganisms and helped to identify unknown pathogens.
