Biography
Ms. Coleman joined the faculty on December 1, 2020 as an expert in pediatric and neonatal nursing care. She has 19 years of clinical experience in pediatric/neonatal nursing and has been a pediatric certified nurse for over 10 years. Ms. Coleman’s clinical experience includes working in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Prior to coming to Saint Francis University, she worked clinically at Nemours-A. I. DuPont Hospital for Children and Duke LifePoint Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Her prior higher education academic experience included teaching undergraduate nursing foundations, pediatrics, and community nursing courses. Ms. Coleman is responsible for teaching the theory component of the pre-licensure pediatric fundamental nursing courses. She also designs the student nurses’ fundamentals and pediatric/neonatal clinical and simulation experiences.
