Biography
Br. Marius professed solemn vows as a Franciscan Friar of the Third Order Regular of Saint Francis of Assisi of Penance in July, 2018 and has been assigned to Saint Francis University since 2017. With a master's degree from the University of Maryland, College Park in Aerospace Engineering, he serves as an Engineering Instructor in the University's engineering programs. He has a strong interest in aerial system development, including advising several undergraduate research projects involving terrain modeling using Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), the development of particle tracking velocimetry systems based on UAS-derived imagery, the automatic identification of ground control points in UAS images for use in photogrammetry, and the integration of computer vision systems with UAS to create an on-board collision avoidance system.
