Biography
Dr. Buckwalter joined Saint Francis University in August 2019 with 5 years of teaching experience in higher education. Prior to joining SFU, Dr. Buckwalter taught in the criminal justice department at Kutztown University for a year and at Penn State University as an adjunct instructor from 2014 - 2018.
Dr. Buckwalter previously worked in law enforcement for 27 years, and is a retired federal agent who served in the United States Probation Office for 22 years. He retired from federal service in July 2018. During his time with the federal government, Dr. Buckwalter earned a number of awards, certifications, and commendations. Dr. Buckwalter’s work experience also includes employment in local corrections, probation, parole, and mental health services.
