Biography
Dr. Marnie L. Moist started teaching at Saint Francis University in 1999. Since 2019 her Research Methods and Statistics courses have been community-engaged courses, where her students create small-team research projects to make community organization recommendations. Some of the class partners have included Respective Solutions Group and Axiom Family Counseling, Ebensburg, PA, and Adelphoi Village, Latrobe, PA. Her research students annually present posters at local research conferences, offering undergraduates the rare opportunity to boast a resume' publication. She has served as an external evaluator for various large grants. In 2013 she co-edited a book called Vantage Theory: A View on Language, Cognition, and Categorization along with A. Glaz and E. Tribushinina; two chapters in this book were authored by Dr. Moist and colleagues.
