Biography
Dr. Peter Skoner currently serves as Assistant to the President and holds the title of Dean Emeritus. His duties include facilitating strategic planning, supporting external partnerships, and assisting in recruitment activities. Most recently, he had served as the the founding Dean of the School of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) from 2018 until 2024. Previously, he served in several leadership roles including Associate Provost, Interim Vice President for Academic Affairs, President of the Faculty Senate, and Department Chair. His institutional responsibilities through the years have included academic standing, accreditation, curriculum, institutional effectiveness, and planning. He was also a tenured Professor of Physics, having taught physics, engineering, and statistics. He now teaches in both the Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership and Innovation and the Master of Arts in Strategic Leadership (MASL) programs.
