Biography
I was a non-traditional undergraduate student who worked full time--sometimes multiple jobs--while pursuing my bachelor's degree and raising a family. Today, I enjoy teaching non-traditional and traditional students, as well as researching, writing, and editing. I have published on women authors and nineteenth-century culture, an edited edition of a religious autobiography written by a local woman in the nineteenth century, and an anthology of Civil War era stories by Rebecca Harding Davis. I am currently working on a book about the positive effects of gossip in American literature and an edition of Rebecca Harding Davis's business letters.
