Biography
My name is Vicki Davis and I am incredibly excited to be a part of the DPS at Saint Francis University as the Director of the PCT program, and as an instructor in the program. I began my nursing career in 2004 when I graduated from the Greater Johnstown CTC with a diploma in practical nursing. I then completed my ADN at the Community College of Allegheny County and acquired my RN license in 2007. I attained my BSN from Chatham University in 2021. I am currently working on my MSN. I have worked in a multitude of healthcare settings, and I have experience in many areas of nursing such as home care, pediatrics, obstetrics, and critical care. I have previously taught clinical at Mount Aloysius College, and I was a full-time instructor in the Practical Nursing department at the Greater Altoona CTC.
I am honored to serve in this role. I have over two decades of working in nursing, and I feel that it is important for me to pass the knowledge and experience I have gained from my career onto the next generation of healthcare professionals. I feel that this program is a unique, but also incredibly effective way of introducing future caregivers to healthcare. My hope is that PCT students continue their education to become nurses, physician assistants, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals. I came to SFU for the Franciscan values of kindness, generosity, compassion, and service. I am also grateful for the opportunity to learn, grow and achieve great things at this university!
