The Saint Francis University Chemistry Honor Society teamed up with The Quaint Corner Children's Museum to bring chemistry kits to kids. A $500 grant from the Chemistry Honor Society Gamma Sigma Epsilon National office allowed Saint Francis to donate chemistry supplies for ten chemistry kits distributed to local libraries and institutions in Blair County. These kits allow staff to conduct science experiments for children and showcase basic chemistry lessons during organized activities. IKM Incorporated of Pittsburgh, a highly-regarded architecture and planning firm with extensive experience designing and creating performance venues, is retained as the project’s architectural firm. The Science Outreach Center and Mathematics Department at Saint Francis University is pleased to announce the winners of the 2021 Pennsylvania Statistics Poster Competition. The annual state competition is in its twenty-fifth year overall, and is coordinated for the thirteenth year by Saint Francis University. Cash awards of $96 for first place, $72 for second place, $48 for third place, and $24 for fourth place in each of four grade levels are awarded to the students who submitted winning posters. Attention aspiring artists and authors! The English Department at Saint Francis University is now accepting submissions from high school students for their new online magazine, New Constellations . Students looking to be published in the inaugural issue can submit their work starting May 15th through June 15th, 2021. Submission categories include fiction, flash fiction, micro fiction, creative nonfiction, and poetry. Visual art may also be submitted including photographs sketches, and paintings.
