IACBE reaffirms specialized business accreditation in Shields School of Business
On April 2, 2024, the Board of Commissioners of the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE) approved Saint Francis University’s reaffirmation of specialized business accreditation for its business-related degree programs offered through its Shields College of Business.
According to a news release issued by IACBE, “The Shields School of Business at Saint Francis University has demonstrated compliance of its business programs with the IACBE Accreditation Principles through a rigorous process of self-evaluation and independent peer review. In addition, the College of Business has demonstrated a commitment to continuous improvement, excellence in business education, and advancing academic quality in its business programs and operations.”
“While the faculty and staff know that we have highly differentiated and special business programs incorporating high-impact academic practices leading to amazing student learning outcomes, it is affirming to see it validated by a neutral outside group offering specialized business program accreditation,” stated Dr. Randy Frye, Dean of Shields School of Business.
He continued to share that Shields received more commendations in this cycle than in any past review, referencing, among other points, the success of Mentorship Day, the Backpack to Briefcase and Executive in Residence programs, Dropout Detective, London Spring Break and the new ChatGPT enablement course.
Saint Francis University’s Shields School of Business offers 10 undergraduate and three graduate programs. It also includes a Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and an executive training institute. Saint Francis has been committed to offering an excellent business education for well over a century and claims thousands of successful alumni in leadership positions.
