SPE Student Chapter Receives Excellence Award
Saint Francis University Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Student Chapter has been awarded the Student Chapter Excellence Award for 2019. This prestigious award, previously known as the Gold Standard, is the second highest honor a student chapter may receive and is awarded to only 20% of student chapters around the world. The award is in recognition of the student chapter’s programs in industry engagement, operations and planning, community involvement, professional development, and innovation.
The SFU student chapter of the SPE was officially established in February 2016. The mission of SPE is to collect, disseminate, and exchange technical knowledge concerning the exploration, development and production of oil and gas resources, and related technologies for the public benefit; and to provide opportunities for professionals to enhance their technical and professional competence.
