PT Students Team Up with Philadelphia Eagles to Help Kids

The Saint Francis University GoBabyGo chapter teamed up with the Philadelphia Eagles and the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia to bring custom-built motorized vehicles to children with disabilities. 34 Physical Therapy students and five faculty members attended the Partners and Power Wheels event on December 2 at Lincoln Financial Field. GoBabyGo is a national organization that builds battery-powered, Power Wheels-brand cars for children with limited mobility. The cars are modified to include hand-switch activation and posture supports so that the children are properly supported in the car.

Saint Francis University’s Online Master of Health Science has been named one of the top ten in the nation by BestColleges . Coming in at #9 in the ranking, SFU’s program was recognized for offering Health Education and Health Leadership concentrations which “differentiates itself from other online health science master's programs,” according to BestColleges. The gift comes from an alumnus who is passionate about enhancing fine arts education and specifically the construction of the Resinski Black Box Theatre. The Animal Behavior (BIOL 208) lab exposes Biology students to the broad, interdisciplinary field of animal behavior. In Dr. Justin Merry’s lab shown in this video, students are testing hypotheses about what traits best predict the ability of the crayfish to control resources in territorial contests. The number one ranked nursing program in the Nation by RNCareers.org has achieved yet another milestone. Saint Francis University’s Nursing Program received notice from the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing that their 2019 National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) first time pass rate was 100 percent. Saint Francis University held the inaugural induction ceremony for the recently established chapter of Nu Rho Psi , the national Neuroscience honor society. Nu Rho Psi is the only nationally-recognized honor society in the area of brain research.
