The OT and PT departments collaborated this year to host the annual Neuro Wellness Clinics. In these clinics students work with clients who have suffered various neurological events such as traumatic brain injury, Parkinson’s Disease, and stroke.

The 1889 Foundation recently awarded $25,000 to Saint Francis University in support of the Dolly Parton Imagination Library. The program makes books available to children in Cambria County from birth to age five and is entirely free for families regardless of income.

On Saturday, October 29, 2022 Saint Francis University held the official Blessing and Dedication of the Fr. Ronald Bodenschatz, T.O.R. Driving Range at the Immergrun Golf Club in Loretto, Pa.

Thank you to all of the First Responders who attended our First Responders Day, organized by the Criminal Justice Club and Residence Life. First Responders attending this event included, local volunteer fire departments (Cresson & Loretto), EMS, police agencies, PA State Police, and the PA Attorney General's Office. Mass was held for those First responders who have lost their lives in the line of duty, and all First Responder participants were treated to a complimentary lunch at Torvian Dining Hall. Not all marine animals react to changing ocean conditions in the same way, according to Dr. Matthew Birk, a biology professor at Saint Francis University and Brad Seibel, a biological oceanographer at the University of South Florida.

Saint Francis University has been awarded a $1 million grant by the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) to launch an Aviation Maintenance Technician School. The new Aviation Maintenance Technician School will be sited at the John Murtha Johnstown Cambria County Airport and will offer a 14 CFR 147-certified training curriculum for Aviation Maintenance Technicians.

SFU welcomes more than 100 alumni and community mentors to campus Oct. 17- 22. The event is an excellent way for current students to benefit from the professional expertise of past graduates, many of whom are returning to campus for Homecoming celebrations that weekend.
