    Degree Options

    The Saint Francis University Chemisty Program has been approved by the American Chemical Society

    • Chemistry, Bachelor of Science (ACS certified) - This comprehensive foundation in chemistry is a great degree path if you are interested in pursuing graduate school or who want to enter industry positions in chemistry right after graduation.
    • Chemistry , Bachelor of Arts - This flexible option allows you to combine your chemistry program with another field such as biology, business, or criminal justice.
    • Biochemistry Concentration (B.S. in Chemistry) - This concentration allows you focus on the clinical processes of organisms from the molecular level-- to cells-- to humans. It emphasizes relationships between structure and function.  Work in physics, biology and mathematics, compliment your chemistry studies.
    • Forensics Concentration (B.S. in Chemistry) - This specialization in forensic chemistry will equip you for a career of laboratory work related to criminal justice. A forensic chemist focuses on analysis of materials from crime scenes.
    • Pre-professional Concentration (B.S. in Chemistry) - This concentration allows you to prepare for professional schools in medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, chiropractic, optometry, and veterinary fields.
    • Pre-pharmacy Concentration (B.S. in Chemistry) - Pre-pharmacy students spend three intense years at Saint Francis and receive their Saint Francis degree after they complete the first year of pharmacy school at LECOM. Students may also apply to other pharmacy schools.
    • Secondary Education Concentration (B.S. in Chemistry) - This concentration combines chemistry and general education coursework to prepare you for teaching positions at the secondary education level in the state of Pennsylvania.
