Music & Wellness Minor
The Music and Wellness Minor, designed for any student regardless of prior formal musical training, allows students to explore the connection between music, mindfulness, and well-being. It also provides opportunities to discover ways to lead evidence-based music and wellness techniques with others. This minor is a good match for any musically interested student who will be directly affecting the well-being of other people including (but not limited to) those majoring in Health Sciences, Education, Psychology, Sociology, the Humanities and Social Work.
Required Courses:
- MUS 203 - Creative Music Facilitation
- MUS 310 - Music, Wellness, and Conscious Life Design
- MUS 145 - World Drumming Ensemble
This is a one credit class and must be taken a minimum of 3 times.

Fine Arts Minor (Music Emphasis)
The Fine Arts Minor is open to all students, regardless of their major. The program kicks-off with an introductory course where you’ll explore how different art forms like music, theater, and visual arts play a role in today’s society through engaging discussions and hands-on learning. You’ll then choose to specialize in one of these areas by selecting elective courses that match your interests.
