Making a Difference: Brother Shamus's 14th Annual Charity Bike Ride

At 77 years young, Brother Shamus McGrenra is defying the odds and continuing to inspire countless individuals with his unwavering determination and heart for service. A stage 4 colon cancer survivor, Brother Shamus is gearing up for his 14th annual #GoBroShamus Charity Bike Ride, proving that age and adversity are no barriers to making a profound impact.

On September 14, 2024, Brother Shamus will hit the trails of Pennsylvania and New Jersey, embarking on a ride that spans two weekends and covers over 98 miles. Each year, 100% of the charity ride proceeds are donated to the Dorothy Day Outreach Center with over 800,000 being raised since the inception of the bike ride.

The 2024 Charity Bike Ride will take Brother Shamus along the Delaware Canal Towpath in New Jersey. Here’s a breakdown of his journey:

September 15: Lambertville to Ewing and back, for a total of 26 miles.
