Learn Scuba In Bonaire This Spring!

Dear Students:

We wanted to let you know that MS 101 Open Water Diver still has openings for this spring. If you are interested in learning to scuba dive and in visiting the reefs of a tropical island, this is a great opportunity!

MS 101 Open Water Diver AR is a 1-credit course that can be taken in your regular 18-credit course load. You will learn your skills in the pool this spring, and then travel to Bonaire in May (most likely the week after commencement) for your certification dives. 

The only pre-req is that you are medically able to dive. There is a $364 lab fee for the course that pays for scuba equipment rentals (we provide everything except your swimsuit), cylinder refills, and PADI certification materials. You also must pay your travel for the dive trip (airfare + housing + food, ~$2,500 or less), which we expect to occur in May during the week after commencement. 

All majors welcome; you do not need to be in the sciences to enjoy scuba. You need to know how to swim, but you do not need a swim team background.
