Mathematics, Mathematics

Dear All,

We would like to announce that the winners of the Mathematics Problem Solving Competition in September are:
Zachary Krepelka, Nathan Cammarata, and Mina Nikolic.
The lucky winner of the $25 prize is:  Nathan Cammarata.  Congratulations!

The new problem for October, proposed by Nathan Cammarata, is posted on the Problem Solving Board (between ground floor room 12 and 13 in Science Center).  and is due October 25.

Participation is open to all Saint Francis University students. Each month we will post a problem and deadline on the Problem Solving Board in Science Center (between ground floor room 012 and 013). Students may stop by to pick up a copy of the problem. Upon completion, students should deposit their solution with accompanying work in the drop-off box (Please include name and e-mail on solution). Students may work individually or with others to solve the problem. Each month, the mathematics faculty randomly draws a name from the correct submissions for a $25 prize. Students working together to solve the problem may split the prize.

Problem #2: Is due Friday October 25, 2024 @ noon

Problem #3:  Will be posted on Friday October 25, 2024 @ noon and due Friday November 22, 2024 @ noon;

Good Luck!  Thank you all for participation!
