Below are the steps to apply for financial aid for graduate students.

Next Steps for Graduate Students
Step 1: Apply for SFU enrollment in your chosen Graduate Program.
Step 2: File the current FAFSA Form on studentaid.gov
- This will allow you to access any Federal Direct Loan eligibility
- Note: SFU uses summer session as a 'trailer' which means our academic year begins in the Fall (i.e., the 23-24 Academic Year is Fall 2023, Spring 2024, Summer 23-24 FAFSA
Federal Loans: If you plan to use your Federal Direct Loan eligibility, also complete a Master Promissory Note and Entrance Counseling on studentaid.gov.
Private Loans: If you plan to use a private lender loan visit elmselect.com to apply.
Other Aid: Any applicable tuition discounts/scholarships are awarded through individual graduate program departments.
